Why Being an Author is Great When You're...

...pregnant.

First and foremost, it's nice to bring the laptop along on those every-30-minute bathroom trips.  I can still get work done!

It's convenient because I can work in bed when I just don't feel like sitting at my desk anymore.

When I wake up with an insane burst of energy and feeling incredibly hungry at 6 a.m., I can embrace it as a productive time.

Moments of heartburn put me in the mood to torture characters.  ^.^

I don't need to take maternity leave.

  1. Writing eats all my free time and sometimes interferes with my other real life activities (exercise, meeting friends, a clean flat, ... - trivia).

    1. LOL - I must admit that I write during our Saturday D&D games with friends, so sometimes I'm the last person to know that we're being attacked. ;)

  2. You know, the truth is we can always find an excuse to not write. However, when we are disciplined and "in the groove" we will do whatever we have, whenever and wherever we have to get that story done. You could use being pregnant as an excuse, but you're using it to motivate. Bravo! And congrats on being pregnant, Wendy! :)

    1. I love writing, and I do it ever day, no matter what. It's just nice that I can do it anywhere too. ;)

Thanks! We're very excited about spawn #2.
